How does the process work?
At Award Windows and Doors, our goal is to make the entire process as stress free as possible. Our renovation experts, from sales to installation, will meet with you, and offer you professional, no-pressure advice, and help you select the correct products for your home.
Your new Award windows and/or doors will then be custom-made at our own factory to the exact size and specification required to make the installation process smooth and trouble-free.
Once product is complete, your certified installers will book an appointment, show up on time, and complete the installation efficiently.
How does Award Windows and Doors install window and doors?
Award Windows and Doors will identify the installation method that is best suited to your home. If it is stucco, wood siding, aluminum siding or brick, we will ensure you understand what our process will be and explain what the finished product will look like. All products are properly caulked, insulated and secured to the house to guarantee no air or water infiltration as well as proper operation of the window or door. The interior of the installation will be properly sealed and finished with a selection of casings (if requested) to meet the aesthetic and appearance of your house.
How long does a typical Award Windows and Doors Renovation take?
After our initial in-home consultation and commitment to order from the homeowner, we will schedule a “Final Measure” by our Lead Installer to be completed within 5 business days. Any final changes or adjustments are made to the order at this point and production begins. Our standard production lead time of 15 days will ensure the window order is complete and error free. Our Installation Foreman will coordinate the install job with you directly to begin within 5 days of the completed package. Our Installation crew will be on site for one to two days, depending on the quantity of windows and doors being replaced.
Why should I consider replacing my windows?
Replacing old, worn windows (aluminum sliders, wood frames, etc.) can give your home a beautiful new look while improving its energy efficiency. Improved energy efficiency will lower heating and cooling costs. Also, a renovation will increase the value to your home and ultimately make it more comfortable.
Does Award Windows and Doors offer a warranty on their installation?
At Award Windows and Doors, we offer an industry leading labour warranty of 10 years on our installation of windows and doors, purchased through and installed by Award Windows and Doors.
What types of windows are available through Award Windows and Doors?
Award Windows and Doors carries many different types of windows, including vinyl horizontal and vertical sliders, casements and awnings, as well as metal-clad vinyl and metal-clad wood windows. We are a custom window manufacturer and all product is manufactured to your specifications and requirements.
What do I have to do to prepare my home for the visit by an installer?
Please move all furniture away from the area where the new windows or doors will be exchanged, ensuring items nearby are removed to prevent damage through the uninstall process. Be aware that some dust and debris is inevitable in a renovation situation but we will ensure the mess we create is cleaned prior to leaving the site.
During the renovation, we ask that you please keep children and pets at a safe distance for safety reasons.
